Post Apoc World About Slimes Eating Everything

A slime monster is one of those creatures as a games concept artist it’s like trying to re-invent the wheel so I wanted to challenge myself with trying to come up with a really interesting slime monster that grew into a story. This was one my first attempts getting back into world building/writing again. I don’t know if I’ll come back to this again but it was a nice way to shake off the rust and remind myself I do have this in me again. That I do like writing and world building.

I probably won’t be doing much of it in my time working in animation, but I can always do it for myself in my personal time. This was a great life lesson to learn so I owe a lot to these slimes for awakening my heart in my art and writing again.

Stain/Shatter

Still working on the title of this but it’s about two witches trying to get their magic licenses back by doing community service. Meant to be more of a comedy leaning with two very selfish characters who want to better themselves, they want to change, but old habits are hard to beat. You want to be the best version of yourself always, but man sometimes it can be kind of exhausting to try especially if no one really notices. Even if the world was wacky with technology and fantasy magic at the same level and often interweaved I wanted a very human feeling to this and more interpersonal than some apocalyptic plot. Sometimes just the ending of a friendship, not being able to communicate anymore, share in the world, have a laugh….can feel like the world is ending.

The title is still in work, I do like the idea of Stain or Stained over Shatter. But we’ll see. The question I made for myself is still the same I want to answer with this story. What makes a good friend?

Pencil dump

Pencil was the first drawing tool I learned to draw with and ultimately my comfort zone. I got color pencils to try and add more color into my work and get out of the grey comfort zone.
